Prince was a stray cat who came to me by way of a friend of a friend (and, coincidentally, the mutual friend involved is the sister of the friend who gave me my previous cat, Toby). I adopted him on 4 September 2010. His age was unknown, but based on the results of his bloodwork, which showed a common disease that's almost exclusively found in older cats, the vet said he was likely at least eight years old.
In early 2015, I got the sad news that Prince had developed a type of cancer that does not respond well to treatment. He passed away on 24 March 2015 in my arms.
